For Solving International, company performance is based on three priorities:
1/ Developing a strategic vision,
2/ Encouraging cross-functional exchange,
3/ Enhancing operations within each corporate function.
DEVELOPING INNOVATIVE STRATEGIES
Solving International’s engagements encompass strategic analysis and improving operational efficiency. We partner with professionals in a range of functional areas and industries to provide the subject-matter expertise necessary to bringing substantial value to our client's business. In each case, our international scope ensures clients have access to skills and expertise tailored to their individual needs.
As a result, the diagnostic phase of a project is completed within a minimum amount of time. We then work closely with the client company to deliver pragmatic and strategic solutions which add considerable value to our client’s business. Our collaborative consulting approach enables our consultants to contribute their expertise in key areas, providing, in collaboration with the in-depth knowledge the company’s own team has of its business, significant and sustainable results.
FOSTERING PERFORMANCE FROM WITHIN
Solving International has developed a framework that helps companies look beyond the shortfalls of usual strategic response and accelerate the pace of change. We build task forces with the client’s own senior executives to focus on factors that limit performance.
A COMMITMENT TO OUR CLIENT'S VALUE
The results speak for themselves : our assignments regularly lead to significant changes in clients’ operations, cross-functional performance and capabilities – changes that are reflected in the company’s results.
We regularly assess the impact of our assignment on business performance. For the period 1998 - 2002, figures show that:
- in 70% of cases, market share rose by 15 to 30% following business development assignments,
- in 70% of cases, profitability rose by 40 to 100% following earnings enhancement assignments.
THE KEY TO SUCCESS : SYSTEMATIC DEVELOPMENT
Our experience, methodology and innovative approach enable Solving International's consultants to add significant value to their client's business.
Our methodology is designed to improve earnings performance, develop sales (top part of income statement) or reduce costs (lower half). Several methods ("Global Performance", "Recovery", "Merger") utilise a broad range of Solving International's skills to meet our client's needs. These methods are initially developed in one country before being applied globally.
An example is the purchasing methodology originally developed by the group. This expertise, referred to as the "Improvement of Purchasing Performance", is one of Solving International's spearheads and has been used to help over 100 clients. One of the notable effects of Solving's methods on the upper part of the income statement is a reduction in product development cycles, which places the client in a position to achieve competitive advantage.
Solving International has defined a clear, precise growth strategy based on these methodology "packages". This strategy consists of a step-by-step procedure: a methodology is applied to a single sector of activity; it is broadened to multiple sectors; and, finally, this progressive approach is duplicated in other countries.
Solving International has developed a concept which may be duplicated, based on customised services, methodologies and knowledge of business sectors.
Clients often invite Solving International to provide consulting services for their overseas operations. Solving International's growth depends on worldwide office expansion, which is achieved mainly through acquisitions.
Solving International has ambitious plans to accelerate growth over the next three years.
Solving International is pursuing its growth strategy in three areas:
1) Accelerating growth and market share gains leveraging the current client base.
2) Broadening the scope of engagements and specialties in countries where
Solving International is already present.
3) Geographic expansion in North America and Europe.
