SOLVING INTERNATIONAL: A CONSTANTLY INNOVATING GROUP


1980 :

The first strategy consultants target tangible improvements in customer performance.

The founders innovate and create Solving International, developing for their customers a form of expertise focused on operational efficiency.

  • In 1985, Solving International developed the global purchasing efficiency methodology, since implemented within 100 international groups.
  • Since 1987, Solving International has perfected a system of merger integration focused on generating synergy.
  • Since 1992, Solving International has developed its own business strategy approach which enables client businesses to keep ahead of their competitors. This methodology is outlined in the book entitled "Gagner la Cour des Géants".

1995 : Beginning of external international growth.

Solving focuses on external growth and concludes a working agreement with Projecta, an Italian consultancy firm. After 3 years, the profits of Projecta, now called Solving International Italy, are multiplied by 5 and sales double. Over the same period, several other acquisitions are made in Europe and North America:

    • Bohlin & Strömberg (Sweden) in 1999
    • Appleton Thorn (UK) in 2000
    • Meritus (USA) in 2000
    • Efeso (UK) in 2001

2 July 1998: Introduction on the Second Market of the Paris Stock Exchange

Solving is the first consultancy firm in Europe to be quoted on the stock exchange.

In 2000, Solving International launched an approach to help build competitive advantage in the distribution business: "WCS", based on world-class standards in this area.
